The forecast for SC changed recently. The wind still looks good for later in the week, but I am guessing we will only seeing stomach high waves. Should be some fun sessions in the near future.

Cold font and west winds move through Thursday night, right when Gonzalo swell moves in... Looking real good for those east facing breaks Hatteras and northward.

Oh, for the luck of the old guy...annual Hatty trip (middle of Oct every year, been doing it since '89 with my knucklehead buds from college, Florida, SC, NC, VA, DE n New Mexico rep'd).

Leave tomorrow evening for 6 days of Gonzo time, knucklehead activities - including surf sesh's till you can't even walk up the house's stair case, revolving/never-ending poker game, cooking fresh fish and beer can chickens n partying like it was 1989.

    Lucky me, lucky us!!!

You lucky fockers! And anytime DTK, always good vibes for the real crackers out there.

I have to attend a wedding Saturday. All day. Hoping for one of two situations:
1/split-tail peaks saturday night, in which case I blow off sunday.

    or

2/wake up and drag myself to the beach sunday and boost my way out of pent-up frustration.

As long as it's rideable i'll consider myself lucky. I'm not too picky. If I get one or two days of big clean open faces i'll take a few smaller rideable days and be happy. Staying a 6 days, I gotta believe one of those will be epic. My hope is that I won't have to leave the local area and drive anywhere far to get the goods, but I will if that's what needs to happen. Last couple trips I never really had to go anywhere, hoping for more of the same really.

For the love of Mike! Went away for 6 days and looks like Fay and Gonzo slipped in. And what's that right behind Gonzo. I let my buoys down. Gimme a coupla days to catch up. Las Vegas has no waves BTW, but plenty of cigarette smoking-- what a strange place.
