.... no, not me. I would just like to take a moment for a propere goode bye threade to all our favorite Summer Pros. It was a great summer, but now that it's Labor Day, surfing season is officially over. I will see all you guys next year during Memorial Day! Hope you guys get some good waves this weekend, with this storm going through, all the reports are saying that Belmar is sure to be epic! Don't forget to drop in on the end of summer party at DJais after the epic sesh! You BBF Mr Belmar
i wanna apologize to the folks that i hit with my surfboard this past summer. it was hot, a lil kooky those days. i'm gonna try hard to this winter to polish my skills. maybe next summer, i'll have my sht together and start to care about u summer pros
On a similar note I would like to send thoughts and prayers to the skinny pale kid foundering on a 5'10 super lightweight JS HPSB that I ran over. I swear I didn't lean into my bottomturn and drive the fin on my 9'4 log from your rail to your stringer on purpose. And when you yelled at me and said I had to pay for you board, while I did laugh in your face, on the inside I had one tiny feeling of empathy. Edit: and by kid I mean person in their 20's
All of this would have been avoided if you had simply "Fitzpedoed" him. Then, he wouldn't been able to talk shit back to you. Or breathe for awhile.
This weekend used to be the end of tourista season here. Now Tenn, Kentucky, and a few other states have October break. Used to be able to enjoy the best time of year with no one around. Now its another month of no parking available, and crap drivers pulling across 2 lanes to make the left at one of the 1000 Alvin's Island to get their junk. Sure, its good for business. I guess it wouldn't be so bad if they were only here on the weekends, but its like the second coming of spring break
Well, BELMAR does have the warmest water around, and the most natural might I add, thanks to the laboradors
After today until next Memorial Day, no more of VB's summer policy of "dogs and surfers stay off the beach".
We started summer down here with blown out choppe accompanied by 30 mph side-shores on Memorial Day. Now it's Labor Day and with what will be TS Gordon sitting just to our southwest we have roughly the same conditions plus a ton of rain. In the three months between we had essentially nothing here except sargassum seaweed. The worst summer for surf or even just to go to the beach. I'm glad it is finally coming to an end. Good bye summer of '18.
...To an otherwise shitty summer that ended with a perfect 10 session at a perfect beach during a perfect sunrise with perfect water, great swell, great people and nothing to do but surf and laugh and share stoke in a lineup. But looky looky!!! The Atlantic is becoming its normal spin cycle of storms - just alittle late
