I know right? I saw a wahine a couple weeks ago surfing knee high slop with a camra mounted to her LB. Her stance was wider than a brazilian and she sorta did this up and down hunch motion while the board went straight. It was actually a pretty damn funny sight. I wish I could of filmed how ridiculous she looked.
Go pro's are cool but they can be obnoxious too depending upon how you are using them. Ive seen a surf mount that actually lets you mount it to your middle fin block UNDERWATER while riding a quad fin in a five fin board. OK So I dont know what that would look like BUT definatley could give you some cool underboard shots, then again maybe you dont wanna see whats swimming around under your board??? The quality is EXCELLENT I can tell you that. I say go for it but GET THE FLOAT!! They sink like a rock and they do come off from time to time.. ask me how I know... you can mount them forwards, backwards, sideways up or down.. my advice if you get one? Take it somewhere before your trip and try it out a bunch of different ways, you cant play it back right there to see what it took unless you have wireless connection on your phone.... I think the mouth mounts are obnoxious. So are the 12 foot poles everyone uses these days to take pics too. Just get the simple board mounts and have fun.
Pretty sure that would screw up your fin setup and wouldn't work out well for you if you did that. I can imagine how much drag that would create. Seems like a terrible idea honestly.
We need morons in the world Barry, without morons we wouldn't have people that we could pay to do stuff for us.

I debated on a GoPro or just a decent camera, I went with the camera. Found a Sony H200 for pretty cheap, it takes great pics. I also have a fuji XP70 to play with in the water
