    HEY
any reviews on the hubb version of the churchill's? Im really leaning towards them cause of the neoprene in the pocket and heel and the built in savers. I have the regular churchill's right now but they're a little tight and my feet got torn up from them.

    Thanks

The built in savers are worthless as far as I'm concerned. To thin and I'm not willing to risk it on a late August - Early Oct kinda day. That aside, and after the adjustments I mentioned in the previous thread, I actually rather like them. The def have more thrust then the Hydro Techs that I have, and they feel like they've got some push to them. There is also enough fin to help with the paddle out (the one thing they have over my MS vipers). The kick feels a little off though from the angled fin. I will say this though, the foot picket from top to bottom is a bit tight. So if you've got wide feet or high arches they may be a bit painful. Trying on a few different sizes with the socks you plan on wearing for the season is the best way to go.

ok, thanks for the input. The thing I'm concerned with is that they may be a bit too tight with the extra neoprene. so thats why I'm also considering regular churchills or MS vipers

The neoprene inserts on them are very thin, barely worth mentioning, more of a gimmick really. Maybe .5 or something. I actually glued 3mm inserts on the top to get a nicer fit, because with fin socks they were to tight, and without them they were to loose. The heel pad I can kinda go either way with. I wear a size 9 with extra wide feet and high arches, the MLs were a bit tight without any fin socks or heel pads. The large is a little tight on the outside of my foot with 1.5 mm socks on, with or without heel pad. Solution was to cut up a pair of fin socks, use the neoprene and use temporary glue to glue it to the top of the finbox. Seems to work, get a snug fit, with no toe cramping, and no pressure on the outside of my foot. Next summer I'm gonna take the pads out and narrow them down a little bit so there is even less material forcing the outside of my feet..and I will probably glue pads to the heels as well because I don't like the bulkiness of the regular heel pads. So then I can look forward to a nice summer of pain free kicking. Which is really nice in August and September when the storms kick up.

Anyrate, I like the fins, they seem to have some umph to them. Just make sure to get the right size (bring your boots or socks) and walking around the store with them on for about 15 min or so. If you haven't gotten any pain. Your good to go. Like I said the only fins I like more then those are the MS vipers, and I couldn't find anyone who carries them around here for proper sizing.

Okay, well im thinking I might be cutting it a little too close because i wear a size 10.5 shoe. I might just get the regular churchills in a size large and get fin socks.

Also, check out ebodyboarding.com and you can ask Jay or someone else there about the MS vipers sizing. Or, check this out... http://forums.ebodyboarding.com/forums/index.php?/index

i heard the hubb fins are awesome, but I haven't tried myself. My feet get wrecked, so I always wear some sort of fin sock when not in boots.
