Pretty sure it's very similar to the charcoal used by some brands in the past. Just a way cooler name. Does it work? Probably. At least it makes theoretical sense from a chemistry/physics perspective. The hexagonal part of it happens naturally, as carbon is transformed from an amorphous compound to a more pure and more structured carbon compound through heat. It's then combined with other fibers to be made into insulation. So the insulating properties of carbon/charcoal/graphite/graphene are well documented.
