That's awesome news! What the hell 30 + years of freezing my ass off and for what, I could have just bought that shirt and been in, crap .
This isn't news... guys there are people out there who have never surfed yet wear surf clothing exclusively. What do they call them again?
You can tell when someone is trying to fit the "surfing lifestyle". i see it all the time in highschool. there is actually a difference in clothes. for instance, they shop at pacsun and zumies, and companies like billabong, quiksilver, oneill, hurley, rvca, ect. don't send the same stuff as core surf shops. You can easily tell http://shop.pacsun.com/guys/tees/Subway-Tee/index.pro?colorCd=030 that is a poser hurley, wannabee surfer t-shirt that they think is cool. Here is another hurley t-shirt that is actually cool, https://shop.hurley.com/product/one-only-mens-short-sleeve-tee-1957.cfm?did=0. They would never have the one and only shirt at a pacsun, instead they sell corny, graffti shirts that are tacky, pretty much a watered down clothing line for everyone else. I like that the companies do that and not sell their core stuff to disgraces like pacsun. Soo many kids in my high school rep this corny clothing with american eagle, listen to rebelution (a white raggae band) , try to longboard, and wear volcome hats and dc shoes. Its terrible.
What happens if you just like pac sun clothing and you surf too? pac sun has some cool stuff. Hollister on the other hand, is a much different story. Plus if you get that shirt that's at pac sun at a local surf shop, its usually $5-15 more expensive. I got a bunch of shirts off the sale rack at pac sun for $2.50-5 that are pretty sweet.
This is GREAT NEWS. Hopefully some people will buy that stuff - be happy with that and never feel the need to buy a board and get in the water.....
Actually they I seen a kid buy a "hollister " Longboard 3 weeks ago when I was at the mall . Poor bastard paid 800 dollars for it . I didnt have the heart to tell him he got burned . I go into Hollister once every 3 months to buy the quartly issue of Slide Magazine its a longboard mag based out of NZ mostly. And I only go in there cause its the only place that sells it
most likely some Chinese kid who has never seen the ocean before, and doesn't know what a surfboard is...
