So I'm sure that you guys were all out on thursday like I was. I ended up hitting the north side of the CP for a dawn patrol. Deffinitly didn't expect what was coming. Super clean head high sets coming in consistant enough to be super fun, but with enough lull in the sets to make the paddle out easy. To top it off, I surfed for 4 hours with at most, three other dudes out. South side was packed, but for some reason no one was coming to the north side. Mob mentality I guess. Caught my first barrel ever on thursday. Hands down, best day ever. Anyone else wanna share what (in your opinion) was the best day ever??
Thursday was the best day ever, atleast for this week Pretty much all jetties were firing, this was just one of many. Hope you got yours. https://vimeo.com/41956892 Rangers/Devils....maybe I will be able to break out the "Now I can die in peace" tshirt from the '94 Stanley Cup Finals? Yes we live in Jersey, but how easy was it to take the train up to the Garden when you were a kid. Enough said. Ryan
thursday was AMAZING, was pulling into barrel after barrel at Manasquan inlet with 4 other guys out for most of the morning
I went out wednesday around 4-8 and was fun chest and some mini barrels coming thru and at dark it was head high and i knew thursday was going to be fun looked so fun glad peolpe scored!!!
Thursday was epic for me too. I surfed in monmouth county from about 5-8:30. The place where i was didn't really have any barrels, but it was more like perfect section after perfect section. About 10 to 12 guys out but most of them were pretty chill and i managed to get a ton of waves. Great day
i surfed thurs at Assategaue by myself all morning until i thought i saw a shark and then i got out and had some chicken fried steak it was awesome one thing could have made it better : no wetsiut give me a day like this in the summer and we will call that the best day ever
Long Beach Island, NJ (Ship Bottom) back in the day, a hurricane swell brought solid 10 foot pristine conditions; I was able to get several stand-up barrels with wide open tubes, the wave was very easy to get into with a gradual drop-in which allowed me to get set and just cruise through the green room… all smiles…
With ya on that one, Wed eve was POURING and big grey lumps kept rolling in, great inverts and airs practice
Yea wednesday was pretty awesome too. The drive home killed it for me tho. But an hour drive, in the pouring rain, in soking wet clothes, with bad windshield wipers, and a soft rack that drips constantly directly on/infront of your nose will deffinitly make a drive a little more unbareable.
