    sounds like an invitation.

at the current projected path, the florida gulf coast is looking good. Unfortunately, if there is a major hurricane in the Gulf, there will be a price to pay.

very true...i would rather see it come into the gulf and move as west as possible sending it into mexico or the bay of campeche therefore having little effects on the gulf region, however that is lookin like a tough senario

Apparently Naples is off limits according to Rusty up there. On the other hand feel free to hit any beach in St. Pete, since the whole coast is going to be firing.

    more than welcome

oh,,,, come on east coasters... after all we go bombard your asses with any little waist high bumps.

so this is an invite from one of the respectable surfers over here.

come and kill it. the entire wfl coast line should be rocking at every sandbar.

    share, enjoy, stay safe....

promote friendly waters and your days will be filled with smiles.

i expect to be treated with the same respect over there, so come and enjoy.

No disrespect to any of you east coasters coming over here and surfing, after all the east coast is our home away from home for us gulf coasters. All im saying is for the previous swells we've had in the past, many surfers from the east coast came over here and took over breaks like they owned it. We respect you and your homebreak so just respect ours and the locals that way everyone can enjoy a nice Hcane swell.

yep.... cause i'm sure everyone will be willing to tow jet skies over here to get across the pass... i'm not giving anyone a ride....

how much is gas these days???... $3.50 a gallon?....

AMMOs is a long way from the east coast.

Very true lost in FL...But if all pans out the way it supposed to it could be worth it. Gustav is supposed to send a shot of overhead + groundswell @ 13 secs for days, sounds tempting.

hell, i'm from pensacola.... it'll take me 1 1/2 hours to get there...
plus, i got an annual pass to St Andrew's... so unless people put their boat in somewhere else... i'tll be just a handfull of people until 8:00 am when the state park opens...

    it's gonna be gooooood

Either way pretty much any beachbreak with a decent sandbar should be firing in WFL

    East Coast come get some

I know what our brotha in the first post was talking about, i just think it was a little harsh. You guys on the east coast really dont understand how starved we are over here for a decent wave, i mean we drive 2 1/2 hours to come ride your swells. Theres no hard feelings, just respect the locals and we'll respect you. The ocean doesn't belong to any one man

Well said. The whole stay the **** home thing was sarcastic considering we will drive 3 hours to surf waist high swell.
