It's already always packed at Anna Marie. One of the best breaks on the coast... I've heard from some it is the best
Kinda hard to hide isn't it? Kinda hard to hide in AMI when you only have maybe 3 miles of shoreline. Good spots don't stay 'secret' forever. When it gets too crowded for you it's time to go explore and find the next great secret spot. No sense getting posessive over something you can't posess. I was out at Honeymoon Island and the vibe was warm and friendly even tho it was a bit crowded and the swell was only bout chest high. It was a fun couple of days nonetheless. I definitely plan to come down and infect your break one of these days tho.
I was told about White Ave by 5 different sources from 5 different cities on the east coast, oh and my 50 year-old secretary suggested it as well - I'm pretty sure this spot hasn't been a secret for a long time. And as for parking, Gulf Ave about 3/4 mile north is perfect if you get there early enough. Faceless, shoot me a pm when you plan to hang out and I'll shoot some!
Mexico Beach Check out www.surfmexicobeach.com for some pictures from Gustavo. Its just a locally-run site with no ads or anything or I wouldn't recommend it. I couldn't get over there but everyone I talked to said it was good.
You are right the spot isn't a big secret anymore but it doesn't need anymore attention by posting the name of the break with your shots.Shots were nice by the way. What were the 5 cities you are talking about, let me guess? They were Satellite,Indian Harbor,Melbourne Beach,Coco, and orlando. What does the age of a secretary( who I presume female right) or the sex or job description have to do with anything?I guess it comes down to a respect thing which is lacking in people today.Come to our beaches surf and have fun.Be respectful and don't act like you own it.Don't post the names of spots in pictures. Why couldn't you just put Fl Gulf Sarasota County in your pics? How easy is that.Wouldn't you want the same for your spots?
well, i went to the 'not so secret' spot in panama city..... it must have been the right decision, seeing as how Shea and Corey Lopez, Pete Mendia, Asher Nollen, and Ryan Briggs were there. it was decent, no where near EPIC, but better than sitiing at the house.
I was there and saw surfers from East and West sharing waves and being respectful. I would have more respect for your argument if it wasn't so futile and beyond it's relevance. AMI, White Ave in particular, is as much a secret as Area 51. Dude, I live here and bring my family to AMI many times a year, swell or no swell! Who here is acting like they own the beach...........yeah, you!
since ... florida was discovered in the 15th century, i think it is pretty safe to assume your "secret spot" isn't so "secret" ... to be fair you probably know how to get to spanish house and Mat. Inlet ... the only spot we have kept a secret @ here is the "cove" and we had to bury it under 30 feet of sand to do it ;-) r
secrets don't make friends Well, I had a lot of fun at a spot on Manasota key. A spot that I've surfed for the past 10 years or so with only a few friends. When we pulled up on the morning of...we were met with about 30 other guys and crowded parking. By the end of it all, our secret spot became THE spot on the key, which I guess sucks but the times, they are a'changing
