I know this individual and he is a totally good guy.....and rips! He is not a bad guy at all although a little crazy at times

 

Just playing devil's advocate here, b/c I could really care less about money and I don't believe in the vengeful man-like Bible god...but what about separation of church and state?

 

Our pledge of alligence states "one nation under God".... Our founding fathers fled England not just because of taxation but for religious freedom. We swear on a bible before we take the stand. Our president is sworn into office by placing his hand on the bible and taking an oath. I've tried to look at this issue through the eyes of an antheist but just can't get past these facts. It just simpley the way our country was born. No one says you have to believe in him. OK take Christmas - lots of atheist celebrate it even though they aren't believers. Make sense?

 

Under God was added to the Pledge in the 1950s as an anti-commie measure which is ironic since the pledge was written by a socialist.
