Might be same where you are, but round here? People are more stoked now then they have been. This year seemed much better. My wife even made mention of the difference. We're talking right here in our neighborhood. Our last place too, hardly any fireworks compared to last evening. It was nice to see for a change. Sure every year there are fireworks, but this year people went all out!

I brought up your quote and a historical fact, but me dumb dumb liberal. History is obviously also subject to your perspective. I hope you didn't lose any fingers shooting off fireworks Barry, especially that pinky you stick up in the air when drinking your appletini.
I know you'd love to turn back that hourglass a hundred plus years or so... enjoy your freedom chief

Had to grill in the rain yesterday. Took it easy on the suds, because it's back to work this morning for a shortened, 3-day week. Would rather take the remainder of the week off but do feel fortunate I have a job. Hope this year's 4th of July found everyone well.

Took the LB out and had plenty of pretty shallow waveriding. Grilled out some sum sausages n buffalo burgers to round out the night w a couple buddies. made sure i was in bed asap following, had a nice buzz n knowing i've got work this morning. pretty good, tanned 4th

It was great here too. We had the biggest crowd ever at the White House and listened to the MAGA song over and over and over. The sky was bluer. The hot dogs had more beef. Even the Kool Aid was sweeter. I know my big bucket of KFC tasted much more chickenier. It's all because of me. Truly unpresidented. Everybody is talking about it. Believe me folks. Bigly.

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July. Loved having a 4 day weekend!!

My son was born on the 4th of July & turned 21 yesterday. Didn't get to celebrate with him because he is in Florida but he had a great day planned out @ Disney where he lives & works.

This is a project he did @ Full Sail University in his 1st year that I thought was pretty awesome & the school as well & won 1st place. The caption below the flag is his thoughts while creating it.

So honored to have won "Best in Show" at the Full Sail University Hub competition.

Tharin White – “My Fellow Americans”

I was inspired to make this flag based off of the life and tragic death of President John F Kennedy. I wanted to show a glimpse of what he had done for the United States, and the world, through this word art of the American flag.

The flag is composed of John F Kennedy’s inaugural address. Here He spoke on issues of our planet, the hope that can come from everyone, and what we all need to do to make the world a better place.

Then you can see the bullet holes and the dried blood on the flag. Here we have the two shots that ended an incredible man’s life, but not his legacy. With the placement of the bullet holes I sought to emphasize certain areas of His presidency that were affected, the first being the Cold War. The leftmost bullet hole is symbolizing how the freedom of all nations, not just Russia and the United States, were at stake in this delicate time.

After that is the Civil Rights movement, and here we have the blood stains of the fight for rights, the fight for control, and the fight for the freedom of all of mankind.

“And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country. My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man.”

Sunday's are our regular beach crew days during the summer @ the drive on beach with families & kids. Great times & the food is better than going out to dinner. Some pics of this past Sunday Funday crew & food.
