I surf a lot and have been doing it for 6 years now but for some reason my right wrist is starting to have sharp pains whenever i twist it I can do push ups just fine but if i angle my right wrist to the left i get a sharp pain around my wrist bone and when i lift something up (palm side up) I get a shooting pain

could anyone tell me what is wrong with it? Is it CTS?

a lot of people has told me it might be a nerve damage, because i can recall of surfing and hitting my wrist on my fins and feeling it go numb for a good 3 minutes

I know this sounds obvious...but you should really go see a doctor man. Good luck.

i had something like that a few years back happen when i was snowbaording but it didnt go numb. i fell backwards and landed on my right wrist the wrong way and i thought i sprained it really bad but once i got back and after a few days of it still killing i went to get a x-ray. the doctor said nothing was wrong but i had a different doctor say i could of possibly bent the bone with it breaking or facturing. to this day lifting things certain ways or twisting my wrist kill me with a sharp pain in the side of my wrist. then for a few days after its all sore.

so it could be from you hitting your wrist on your fins or maybe you fell wrong and your now starting to feel the after effects years later.

best bet is a doctor. only way to get an idea whats wrong.

Yea ive had something like this before, dont know if this will help you though...I was surfing this fall and i hit my ankle really hard on one of my fins on a bail...my foot and calf went numb for a good 5 min..(it also knocked the wind out of me), it is still a little weak and when i hit it now it doesnt take as much force to happen again, but it has gotten better, it was wierd, it sapped all the strenght out of it for a couple weeks and since then has gotten alot better, but obv if it that uncomfortable, as soon as you get a job with some benefits go to the doctor.Good luck dude.

yeah this happen to me during fall I tried to punt out of a wave not even trying to land it, when i tried grabbing the board i ended up flipping it to fin side up, as soon as my wrist hit it the fins my wrist and forearm went completely numb and I was out of breath like someone just punched my stomach it left a little cut on my wrist on top of a dime size lump and for the next minute or so I lost feelings in my finger tip but after a couple of weeks it felt ok

could that have weaken my wrist? and eventually make it give out now
