Hello! I've spent the past year after graduating making an app like airbnb but to rent surfboards called Onda Surfboard Sharing! List your board on it today, it's free and we offer insurance when it is rented out. Make your boards pay for your new board I hope Onda can be used to test out how boards ride before buying a similar model, to get into surfing, or to avoid airline fees. It's been a lot of work and I greatly appreciate anybody giving it a try!
I'm not sure if you know this or not but at least in my area and a few other places I've been to there seems to be quite an abundance of surfboard rentals. Not to mention that you should have friends after a few years of surfing that would be kind enough to loan you aboard if you traveled near their location. Of course I may have this all wrong and you might just be looking to plug your business on every single serve forum that is out there but hey what do I know?
Def an interesting idea... Might be a good way to rent better boards or try a specific board or type of board before buying. Most surf shops around here are just renting foamies.
