you just described my teenage years, minus internet and RK also, piss drunks and BH are different? thats news to me
Thanks, raced Loretta's in 450c and 250c in 2015. Just about the sketchiest class of riders there is. Goons to your left and goons to your right lmao. B class isn't as fun thought, c class you can get away with slams, B class if you slam you get slammed lmao.
same here, no motocross hair scrambles and road bikes. gotta get your trills some were, cheaper equitment and pavment hurts more than water.
Never got into the street bikes or hair scrambles tbo, but your definitely right haha, ill take water all day lol
Haha I ride also. I probably would have started surfing before dirt bikes, if I had grown up in a coastal region. Had to grow up in frickin Bergen County though haha. I enjoy surfing more than riding these days, for various reasons. It's much more convenient to bicycle to the beach or take a ride with my bort in the back of the truck, than have to load up my bike in the back of the truck and it's murder on those hot and humid days, to have all that gear on. It can also be murder to surf with 53 others in July, 46 of which are just floating around on their Borts to look cool and be seen on one haha.
lmao, i hear ya man. Broke my Humerus and shattered my elbow in 2016 and after taking a full year to recover college had started and its really hard to dedicate yourself to both a racing career and a full time student at a college, so i had to find other things to do during my down time to have fun. Surfing is definitely easier to do on the weekly bases since you can work it around school and work with ease compared to devoting a full day into riding. Heres my arm now lol. Did this at Gatorback in Gainesville Florida during The Mini Olympics Not counting the numerous shoulder injuries and breaking both my wrists multiple times. Easy to get away with taking school of during high school, not so much during college.
Hello. In response to your post on the other thread..... when you go to the forecast page. Green means good, blue means it will be rideable but not super clean, red means bad. Of course that's not exactly true, there are exceptions and other factors to consider. But as a new guy that will get you started.
Also is quit it with the smiley faces. I get your 19... But come on. Don't want to act to much like a 14 year old girl. And i can't figure out what the " is in your =") face. Care to explain?
Yea thats really the only reason i posted a thread on what the seasoned surfers thoughts were on this weekend. I know it says its going to be choppy, but looking at the whole weekend im just trying to figure out which day will be best, and looking at colors doesn't really help when deciding that haha. I guess ill learn with time though. thanks.
Lmao. the '' is just representing tears. Im just fking around when i put it. Thanks for the advice lol.
Holy crap. Its an actual smiley. I didn't know you could do that. Technology man. Amazing. Ok, try this instead next time.... =D
Yikes! If you ain't breaking bones on your bike, you're doing it wrong! I broke my left ankle on one, was out of work for almost 5 months. No surgery required. Then I broke my wrist, which I continued to work on it, it wasn't that bad. Then I broke my right ankle, but luckily not as badly as my left ankle that I broke 4 years earlier. Needless to say, in the 9+ years since my last broken bone, I've taken it easier on the bike. I'm surprised I never broke anything as a kid when I rode, everything I broke came in my 30's. I find surfing much less dangerous, in the sense that if you get in trouble surfing, you'll just drown and die. If you know what you're doing though, it's definitely much safer and won't put you in the hospital or out of work for months. Freak injuries do happen once in a while and nasty sunburn if you don't apply sunscreen, which I do year round. Only time I get lazy on applying sunscreen is when I'm going out and it's 1.5-2 hours before sunset on a winter day or if it's a ridiculously cloudy and nasty winter day. Every once in a while, I'll lose my balance on my bort, being a goofy footer, combined with the broken ankles on the bike haha. My buddy was injury free on his bike for years and years, until he broke a bunch of sh!t on his bike when he was like 46 a few years back and had to be out of work for months and filed for bankruptcy. That sucked. First few times surfing back in 2004, after I broke my first ankle in 2003, was really awkward and I had trouble putting weight on my leg at first.
definitely not a forgiving sport, but gives one of the best adrenaline rushes without killing yourself lol.
