I'm a bit late with this Hello thread but here goes. I grew up in the DC suburbs of Maryland. When I was a kid my family used to take summer vacations to OCMD. I always loved being in the ocean and would spend hours at a time body surfing and riding inflatable rafts. I was also heavily into skateboarding in the mid/late seventies. I started bodyboarding in the early 80's and would spend as much time as I could at OCMD and Deleware. I moved to Ft Lauderdale over 20 years ago. The surf here sucks most of the time but I'm not complaining. The surf temperature is warm year round and on sunny days the water is a clear/aqua color. I work 1/4 mile from the beach and can often bodyboard before or after work. I'm 52 and like punk, reggae, and some classic rock.
i used to surf deerfield bch a lot 7-8 years ago when i didn't have time to drive north. eat at whales rib and post a pic.
