;) because there were only 3 channels at the time.

I would actually wake up super early just to see Bugs Bunny/Road Runner. The art and voice acting on that cartoon was mesmerizing and still holds up as the most masterful cartoons ever made (better than Disney, imo)...even the backgrounds were fine art. I dare anyone, even as old as we are, to watch the "Witch Hazel" episodes without laughing.

Super Friends and Hong Kong Fooey were some other favs.

    Cartoons to smoke to:
    Any Bugs Bunny
    Ren and Stimpy
The Regular Show (Cartoon network: a talking human-hybrid Blue Jay and his raccoon buddy hang out with a Sasquatch, a muscle bound ogre, and a ghost that is just a hand and get bossed around by a talking gum ball machine)
    Adventure Time
    Original Speed Racer.
    Yes, I'm 52 years old.

    Nice intro!

"Barbarian Days" sucked. The writer is way is too full of himself. Nice travelogue but I couldn't finish it it got too boring.

I like me a 6'6" Orion swallow tail for shoulder high to DOH. I'm old too, and not ashamed to sport some extra foam in the lineup, that's how you get in early and GET PITTED!!!

Lonboarders are lazy. Nothing wrong with that. Surfing is a sport for lazy slackers.

    Cheers!

Any one ever see Alf Tunes? It was a short lived cartoon maybe 1988 with Alf as the main dude. He was Alf Bond in one episode. Hilarious and trippy.

speed racer was the first cartoon I ever saw. I was living in spain at the time and they only had one channel...and even that was in black and white. I also saw felix the cat around the same time...those two shows, soccer and the news were the only shows on TV in spain back then.

Was in paradise when I moved to the US and had 3 channels in color and sat morning cartoons. First show I saw here was "The Monkeys".

Well this thread took a quick turn.

First, props to the sea monster, good intro. Not as good as the dude who posted bikini pics of his hot wife, but the sea monster can catch up anytime. We don't even care if she's really your wife, we just want to think she is...post up those pics ya ugly bastige.

Second. Holy fark. El Tardito is right, some serious acid trips went into making those shows.

Bugs bunny/road runner will always be the tops. Everyone else is fighting for second place.

For the modern age with more adult themes...Sealab 2021, Space Ghost Coast to Coast, Harvey Birdman, and Venture Brothers. And Archer.

Sleestaks? I hated those mofos. Not because I was scared, I just wanted to be on that show one time, grab a solid tree branch and run around beating the piss out of them. Mofo's move like George Foreman on 'ludes, could run circles around them kneecapping the fockers.

"People on ludes should not drive." Words to live by from the best surfer of all time.

I forgot Bob's Burgers. Didn't get it at first. Love it now.

I'm feeling extra lazy these days, must be why I've been hitting CL looking for longboards. If only they had wavejets with Lazy Boys on them.

    Now about those pics...

This pic was on Magicseaweed like 5 years ago. Your not a MS spy are you? We don't play well with those British A-holes on these parts.

#2 ever notice how GI Joe prepped a generation for fighting a vague faceless "terrorist organization determined to rule the world"....... saw this bs coming when i was a wee one...

#3 because f u i can change my mind and add another topic --- i wanted to bone Red from fraggle rock when i was a kid. gave me a serious pre-intention chubby.
