Should have let him die. Natural selection man. Maybe if he did better sand reccone his sh!t would not have gotten tossed by the ocean.
Great story & thanks for posting. That dude was very fortunate that you were there, thank providence.
Yeah, I wasn't convinced he was for real at first. He was keeping his head above water fine from what I could see and he wasn't splashing around all crazy like, I almost thought it was a joke. Reason being, I have swam over to someone before and asked if they were OK and they said yeah and that they were just messing around with their friends. This time, he didn't have any friends near by, but I just had to ask. Plus, this was my first ocean rescue, so I was just going on instinct. No training or anything. Thank you though LOL Possibly.
My woman always tells me things happen for a reason and I always tell her, BS. LOL Don't tell her, but sometimes I think she is right.
LOL Nah man, I didn't want to be bothered and wanted to keep surfing, but my conscience wouldn't let me. Thanks CCCDog, he sure was, I was meant to be there I suppose.
Understood...I have had a few...hard to stay mad at you for going...you may wish to consider calling the hospital and paying a little visit on him...could do you well in the short and long term...
Exactly, tis just natural. Nope! I have done extremely well over the years of maintaining a low profile, and that is how I like it. People have been respectful of my wishes, and also because they know I have mega camera cards to completely burn them with, if need be (insurance vault, lol).
Seriously, consider giving a call to check on the man; it may do you well, and could further benefit him, indeed.
I'll see what I can do. Don't be jelly.
Hospitals suck about letting you check in on people unless you're related. I once found a homeless dude passed out naked in my wrangler and called the EMS to give him a free ride. Tried to check on him the next day and I got more attitude than help from the hospital. True story, they keep that info tight
