I just bought a 6'6" x 20" x 2.5" JC Flying Pig today off CL. I'm using it as a step up coming from a 7'6 fun board that's essentially a longboard shape. I've never had to buy fins before. I'm 5'7" 155 lbs so I'm fairly sure medium will be the correct size. It'll be a thruster setup. My issue is there are so many options I'm not sure where to start. I'm not very good at the moment so while I don't necessarily need to keep within a budget, I can't see any reason to buy a top of the line set because I won't know the difference. Don't buy any new fins, buy a bunch of used fins off of the forums...Here, nynj, I buy tons of fins off the surfermag forum. Try everything you can get your hands on. You can also put up a WTB ad, that works really well.
