help out monmouth

    im looking at monmouth university next wensday, and im just wondering if you have any spots near there that are fun to go out on small days. if u want them kept secret just pm me. ill only be out for an hour or two and dont drop in on people.

    Your closest breaks are in Long Branch. If you're lucky, some of those guys will PM you. If not, I can PM you about other towns.

    If it's as small as I think it's gonna be (and I hope I'm wrong) you're gonna have to go south to get anything rideable. The beach is starting to get that summer profile, which means mostly shorebreak on the 1 to 2 ft. days. But you could get lucky... low tide is your best shot.

    My friend goes to MU. Stay away from any crowds or lineups there. The locals were very unwelcoming to him and he's no kook. It is possible to find your own sandbar around there, just steer clear and take your lumps. I won't name drop any spots out of respect for the breaks.

    Im going to tour it wed or thurs too depending on waves after my final exams. Hoping to find a wave after. Its a week out so maybe there will be a bump. Really picking my school based on east coast waves.
