It is an art form!! Running over others, leaving thruster fin slashes on their back is a goal of mine on every wave I take. Not for you??
Idk about "paddle out wide to avoid collision". I say paddle toward where the rider has come from, not where they're going to. Take it on the head, so the rider doesn't need to navigate around you and blow sections.
it seems like most people i encounter never even heard of the rules. it would be one thing if they knew them and chose to ignore them but i dont even think thats the case. ive seen people snake others thinking they are in the right for some crazy reason. they glare at the person behind them as if its their wave
There are no rules. Where do you guys get these "rules"?? I mean, really. What rules?? Who set rules into place--Supreme Court?? Congress?? There really are no "rules". You are all imagining, hoping, and fantasizing that rules actually exist. They don't.
Rule 1 The wave goes to the surfer closest to peak. Rule 2 Get the f*gg out the way of the rider. Rule 3 Ignore rule 1 and 2 at barry's break.
