    Kelly Slater, that is. page A17 todays New York Times. full page add promoting
    "mens style" i guess for the nyt proper. has our hero and pent-ultimate athlete been
    reduced to pandering to metro-sexuals? Lets hope theres' more to this than meets the eye.:confused:

    I was just thinking about this the other day, but in regards to "expanding his horizons" I think he should start his own company or label. Get a shaper and develop some models, create some new stuff, start his own ...lost, CI, ect. but with some one else shaping.

    Seems like a solid choice for him, if he isn't already doing something similar. I don't really keep up with the pro surf world, outside of actual surfing

    He's deffinitly knowledgeable and could really make advancements in board designs working with a talented shaper. He has already, just not under his own label
