My board was in the sun and the wax melted. Now it looks like organized splatter paint. Check my pictures.

thats why you dont leave them in the sun you kook. at least if your gonna stay on the beach for a day put the board in a board bag and flip it over so the bottom is facing the sun in the bag.

I might be stupid, but I am certainly not a kook. :D

Either way it is pretty hideous. I think the sharpie idea is good. Might put the Maryland flag on there.

    Board Art Work

Gary's Boards in North Wildwood, 26th and New Jersey. They just opened and have a sick artist named Brittany who specializes in board art work. Heres the site http://garysboards.com/ (the site is still under construction). But here is the number to the shop, (609) 523-9500. Hope this helps.

Either break out the sharpies... or revisit the spray paint idea with stencils, tape, etc. Or go with some kind of object you can dip into paint and "stamp" prints all over it.

with the sharpie pens do you have to rough up the area and after you do the sharpie stuff on it do you have to seal it?

I use Sharpie Paint Pens and they're friggin' amazing. Use Acetone on the board(scrape off the wax of course), just put some on a rag and lightly move it over the board, then wet sand it with 400 Grit Sandpaper. I always do a pencil sketch before i paint so i know where and what I'm painting. After your done painting, Use Kyrlon's Clear coat Satin. It gives it a vibrant color and seals your work in. do 3 layers of clear coat allowing time to dry for each coat. once the 3rd coat is fully dry, use wet 600 Grit sandpaper to lightly sand the board. This evens the Clearcoat. after all that you'r officially done with your board, it's ready to surf. I've done boards for friends right before they go out, and i've done full board pieces. either way it's a great way to spice up your board. :D:D

I'll Post pics of some work when i can find my Camera plug-in cable for my computer
