Perfect. Nice find
Deer Glen. After doing some research on my own believe me there is a way. Now I'm no Tech guy but it would be easy enough just to add windy to your forecast maybe even add Surfline but holy crap I don't think we can be friends anymore. If coming up with even a mediocre solution is this trying I can see why there's nobody here. I wonder how much your advertising has dropped which in essence means real dollars? Now I know it hurts to hear that we're not friends anymore but that doesn't mean I don't like you so keep trying to do your best and keep up a stiff upper lip.
New member to the forums here, and a new surfer as well. I made an initial post in what I believe is the wrong forum. My post has to do with gathering some research for my graduate studies, and furthering research about surfing in general.
Would it be possible to have that post moved to the right forum?
Thanks in advance,
Dear Scott ..
I'm the new spokesman for Swellinfo!!
I have some great news for you. Simce You're new to the site and new to surfing here's how it works.
Please post a pic of your girlfriend or wife in a provocative position. Let us know your favorite pizza and where you hope to find your home break so we can meet up for a surfing session led by the closest member to you.
Thanks for your patience... Check the forecast on the reg and you'll notice it has been repaired.
I've been trying to check swell for the longest time.
Any news about that problem?
Our lovely techs have been working hard on the forecast page to have it functioning properly as it has been in the past. Please let us know if you notice anything inaccurate on the forecast page so we can have it corrected.
Thank you all so much
Dear Glenn. I apologize for being wrong and saying bad things about you. I was wrong. I still don't think we can be friends though
Please post in this thread if you feel there are any errors with the forecast page, so we can have them corrected.
Thank you all so much
When the local buoy is reading 5.6 feet @ 11 seconds, it isnt flat. The forecasts are off, brother. All over the place.
its working now . thank you Mr, Glen
Seems to be right for NY.
Surf here is currently 7' @ 13 secs out of the WNW. Wind is 7-10 knots out of the SE, water temp is 51.
SI is showing my area's current conditions as:
light rain with wind from the SSE at 8 knots. This has remained accurate since the forecast originally died.
The buoy data from 46211 (correct) shows 5.6' @ 10 secs (not correct), and does not match with the forecast chart which currently shows 1.5' @ 5 secs out of the SW (not correct).
The tide data is somewhat off, but is close enough. I suspect that the tide data is re-looping the same data that it's been giving since the forecast crashed back in June.
Ocean water temp shows 62 degrees, which is incorrect and has remained unchanged since the issues began.
The actual forecast chart itself shows a very irregular swell pattern for the West Coast, with extremely small swell and equally short intervals. Something definitely wrong here.
I don't remember how to take a snap shot of my screen. But if someone else here can provide one, I'm betting that everyone's forecasts may be almost identical to the SI forecast for the Delmarva.
but hey, it's a start and we're getting closer. Thanks for not giving up Glen, 'A' for effort.
Pretty accurate for 3 days in a row here I'm Melbourne fl
Thank you so much, everyone! Passing all this info to the techs!
