I'm going to south carolina to visit my folks, I have never really been there and was wondering if it's worth bringing a board? They live near Hilton head.

If you have a longboard, bring it...you might get lucky with some thigh to waist high wind slop. Short board...eeehhhh, good luck. If we have a strong front move through you might get lucky with some waist to stomach high waves...but don't get your hopes up. If your driving from up north stop by Folly Beach just outside of Charleston...best bet for waves. It's the south east coast bro...it is what it is. On the bright side, water temps are in the mid to upper 60's which crazy warm for this time of year. You got nothing to lose.

I have vacationed there once a year for over 20 years now and man its never been that good, the only time its surf able is on high tide, basically the tide goes out really far the beach heats up and as the tide comes back in the heat escapes from the sand and causes some funky little waves and on top of that its super sharky, I mean worse then Frisco . take the golf the clubs or the fishing pole
