C'mon now with this full page background advertising.... how much further are you going to push the ads on us Micah???
Swell Info...finding new ways to make a dollar. Way over the top Micah, I will punish you by not stopping by for 5 days. Cya
Everyone is moving into this method. It will most likely prove effective to actually get click throughs on the ads, but still, it makes the site ugly. I do a lot of web design, mostly for private business, so there are no ads required, but I can't say that I would agree to a full site overhaul with floating ad shells. It even took the blue color scheme out. I am all for a face lift every now and again, but just for the ads? Ouch. It really puts the website in the background, literally. Pirate Bay started it about a month ago, now you can't even hide the random, creepy cartoon porn ads that always pop up to both sides. They just stay there, floating, no matter what you do. Pirate Bay and swellinfo are two completely different things. Welcome to M'erica. I ain't mad at you dog. Money is money though. Stack that cheddar.
Well in silent protest to this over the top move... after today I am out of here for at least a week... after that, who knows maybe I'll find I won't need to come to the site anymore.
Shhhhhhhhhushhh! And...if it was a full pg ad with some hot looking swimwear models there would be lots less complaining maybe?
It ain't that kind of party up in here. Remember, there isn't a market for "pay for surf forecast" service. That market has been locked up for 20 years now. This site came about because it's free. I am all about ads to keep a good thing going, but I just hope they are paying him out a very substantial amount of money for the increased ad space, cause this is "in your face" for sure. P.S. Nice first post bro. Interesting timing and opinion, if you know what I mean. ???
Yeah, the ads are way out of control, BUT the site is still free and provides me the forecast all the same, not too hung up on it, but it is annoying.
I've had hot singles and Chevy trucks. REI too. A Texan's dream adds. Now if we could work some oil In there somewhere...
