Exactly, the politicians should leave that judgement call to the beach manager. that is what a beach manager is there to do. If the beach manager makes a stupid call, then he or she will be on duty to take the **** storm that will ensue.

 

I love no surfing flags! There a sponger's best friend. Means waves all to myself and no worries about some moron running into me with hard board board with fins as sharp as knives on the bottom. Everyone talks about risk in the ocean. Honestly most likely way to get injured surfing regular sized waves is someone running into you.

Keep up the great work lifeguards and keep those surfers all packed in as tight as possible! LOL! I wish they were on duty april 1 to nov 30th. I looked at the manasquan cam. Must have been 70 surfers out there. Even if lifeguards opened ENTIRE beach it would still be crowded. Thank god I Bodyboard. I can ride in the blackball area. I wish Diry Jerz was closer. Some of those breaks looked fantastic.

 

I should add another reason to the thread why bodyboarding is better than surfing...You can ride everrywhere
