Guess I will weigh in on this one. Never been in a wave pool and we can all agree nothing compares to mama nature and the open sea. That said...it 'looks' like it would be fun. Without actually having been in there, who can say? All the pro's look pretty stoked after a sesh...

You should be able to select a difficulty level. The higher the difficulty, the more wild life that gets dumped into the pool. Make it random so you never know what's coming next. Could be a hammerhead, could be a octopus, maybe a orca, or possibly Mary Lee, the possibilities are endless.

I don't know man. Every one keeps talking about that barrel. If i were on that thing id be on rail. Not in the barrel. Although it looks like a playful barrel, which isn't something I'm used to here. Its either not barreling, or heavy barrels. But that clean peeling open face looks way more appealing to me.

I have a feeling these wave pools are going to get better and better, and bet Kelly will push one for Olympics surfing. Now that they have a template that works that well, I wonder how big they can make a wave.

 

No way man. Dpsup had a good boob description in another thread awhile back. Point was to big or to small can be an issue. Shape was the key.

While this wave has beautiful shape. Ill give it that. Its perfect. But that barrel? I hadn't seen one clip of it slowing/speeding up. Hadn't seen anyone have to get on the gas to make it. Its always just a stall stall stall still stalling stall. Making it out of the barrel is the hard part. That barrel is a great tool to practice your stall technique. But barrel technique i don't think so.

If the wave changed speeds, id retract that statement. The open face however. That makes me drool

 

Just wanna see how good of a turn I can do after practicing on the same kinda wave for 2+ hours
