    72 man hours is a lot. Looks like a blast if you have the time and interest. Impressive creativity.

    Well... at least he can say he's built a board from scratch. A good thing.

    As cool as I think it is to make a board from readily available supplies these things always look so clunky. You could buy a blank with rocker for under $100 and the project would come out so much better. Even with a real blank you can end up with a clunky board but this way your almost guaranteed to end up that way. Using sun cure resin and a real blank I can produce a surfable board in under 6 hours, 72 hours is rediculous. I would loose interest in the project after 10 hours and the "board" would be up in my rafters and eventually thrown in the trash a couple years later.
