I was out in RI yesterday morning at sunrise and think the forcast was fiarly accurate. I like the seperate swell direction data and it has helped me in the past decide between south or southeast facing breaks with success. Keep it up swellinfo!
The day you learn to read a buoy is the day you Love when this happens. Trust me. Surfed down from Point Judith at high tide way inside- WON'T say where- Chest High plus, a little wait between sets but peeling clean for 3 hours...and only a father and son team, Joe and Joey, from Connecticut out. He said once a year he lets his son (12 years old) stay home from school and surf with him and was Blown Away how good and Empty it was. We Both were. Rad Dad of the Year.
Just because a wave is actually over-your-head doesn't mean it's "overhead" Overhead is over 6 foot. A six foot wave isn't 78 inches. Hey, I didn't make the rules. Wow, you should see what it looks like out here right now. It's midnight dark at 10:00 am.........woof. Man, there's an ominous feeling going down right now. Here it comes.........
I'd just like to point out that nobody corrected the 78 inches remark. 12 x 6 = ? Hmmmm, was expecting some wise-ass snaps aboot that. I guess surfers aren't too bright. I know I'm not.
I gotta be honest, i hit the ole calculator and it said you were wrong about that, but thought i'd let ya slide...
