Reflect back on the "are you a surfer or what makes you a surfer thread". If you can't utilize what is right at your finger tips to predict waves (which takes some time to learn...especially on the fickle east coast) then I question whether your a kook or not!

I mean, there is so much data. Last week is a great example. SI was dead on with the winds WNW from N to NW for the afternoon. Cross reference with local weather...check the buoys and bam...decent clean surf. Wow...

Btw #3 I actually find the forecasting to be quite opposite from what you describe, and I like it that way. It will say 2-4 and its chest hi- not knee to stomach.

Nice Post man, these charts are actually pretty accurate, the problem often becomes the local bathymetry of the shoreline and how it affects the waves once they get there. But remember, you're a JUNIOR MEMBER junior, that means you haven't suffered in life long enough to complain on these forums.
