We surely did, hermanoooo. This is just another sign of increasingly kook-laden lineups coming soon to a break that you love.
How's about we just put something like this up at the top of the posts with a sticky... Dear Swellinfo, I am (fill in username). I know this is only my 1st post, but this place is an unbelievably, incredibly, unbearably, and bodaciously inaccurate surf predictin website. I live in (fill in break here) and the forecast for my beach is NEVER right. I am too much of a dumbass to figure out this crap by my lonesome, so I came here for help. Much to my dismay, all I found was a bunch of hooligans, ruffians, ne'er do wells, and some guy in a white windowless van. As I am far too lazy, and stupid, to create my OWN surf predictin web site, I'll just come here every few days and squawl about how f***ed up this site is.
i am very tall so surf forecasts are always exaggerated. i want a refund lets start a new thread: Jeffisa__________
YEAH !! But, but this site is free. As long as you consider message board addiction and the many feelings that get hurt here "free." Though, isn't it awesome when these sites predict 0-1 foot for the next day, as the winds blow from the SE at 15 all day long, as a front swings-on-by. Then no one is at Bayhead when it's 3 foot magical the next morning... Got to take the good with the bad.
Old Skool forecasting: Go to beach. Look at surf. Surf (or not). New School (aka jeffisamoron) forecasting: Look at one or several free forecasting sites on the internet. Never go to beach until seeing a decent forecast. B!tch about lousy forecasting. Don't surf.
on the forum topics page it states the topic was started by meffjatt, but the first post is by jeffisawalrus? wut?
I surfed more when I didn't have the internet.the internet killed my stoke.now its like ok 3-4ft windswell,ok.look at the cams,oh theres 20 people out im not going anywhere. and don't let your friend say hey before u go lets smoke this blunt or drink this bottle.it ruins many sessions, and the days u blow it off are the best days of the year. and for the record don't be mad when the prediction isn't what it is.thats why its called a prediction.nobody can really accurately predict weather to a t.shyt happens
CEP, a bit o' go, Barrels4Liam gave you some problems. Now, I like Barrels4Liam. Back years ago, maybe one, maybe two, he spoke upon which of goodness, hassled a few who dared take sides against there which of myselves, and he seems pretty cool. But Barrels, I don't know, CEP seems to make sense and know the score. Pretty much always, except, of course, during a freak time when he may disagrees(Urban) with me. We all surfed more before the internet. Technology will destroy us all. Well, besides MIS.
Hahahaha dang, all I was trying to discuss was how many times have they said that it'll be overhead+ on a Friday so you anticipate all week and when that day finally arrives and you get to the beach, the waves are trash. Didn't mean to aggravate the Swellinfo disciples. Personally, Surfline has been the more accurate of the two when it comes to the beach I surf but that doesn't mean that I'm not going to check Swellinfo and compare the two. Chiiiill gah.
Actually find the forecast very accurate although I live so close it's not a huge loss if it isn't right on. With the forecast and the cams that are available, I can't image anyone with half a brain couldn't decide whether or not there is surf.
