Can anyone tell me if there are restrictions to surfing at Horseneck Beach in Westport, MA? I've seen vehicles with boards in the parking lot in the past, but have never seen anyone actually surfing there besides some kite surfers in the off season. Thanks in advance for any info. Jake
I'm not sure what the rules are in the summer. It's possible that you can't surf in certain sections when the lifeguards are around but other than that you can definitely surf there. Kind of a finicky place but can be pretty fun at times.
Yeah I've always wanted to try this spot and also Little Compton RI. Although from what I understand Little Compton basically makes it impossible for anyone to park within a mile of the ocean, their way of keeping out the riffraff.

I figured the rich jackasses who live at and surf Little Compton deserve to have their **** blown up, and I'm pretty sure most of Horseneck is only allowed after the lifeguards go home during the summer anyways? Also I figured out a new trick... just search the board for people complaining about blowing up spots... then bam, you know which threads legit spots got blown up in?
Plot twist: Bel Mar is ACTUALLY the best break on the East Coast, and it's at the culmination of a long serious of under-water and above-water geographical formations that funnel and amplify the waves, causing huge bomb sets every single day, and all the jokes about it are a desperate attempt by the few in the know trying to keep it secret. It takes me a while to get back to PMs sometimes and I was about to get back to yours, however, you just relieved me of that obligation. Note to yous self bro, I am neither a Tiverton resident nor any town on or in the vicinity of 77. Yet social media or forum chatter blowing up spots will only further invade any good spot. The last time I was at LC there had to be 100 skilled surfers across the couple breaks there and it was fully functional despite the crowd. I guarantee you 1-3 kooks would have polluted the ballz off of the place that day. The real ones will become privy to the info they'll take care of and respect though any kook who's not in the know or wanted to be by respectable surf folk can peep a forum post or tread and invade any break. Why do you need any break other than Winthrop bro? It's the schitt. The place macks on any swell direction, at all tides, and during all seasons. Look no further than the filthy juice in front of you.
