How come there isn't an off-topic or help forum?

I didn't even know where to post this question because all the forums are surf/bodyboard related. I can understand not wanting the off-topic forum, but OT threads come up all the time and this would be somewhere to corral them. Regarding the help forum, it would be another home for any questions that aren't about regional surfing. Could we also have subforums for the regions that would act as classifieds for people trying to sell gear? Just thinking out loud here.

Stoney I believe micahs feeling on this was the more you divide a forum the less traffic individual forums get.

    A help forum isn't a bad idea.

Initially, the forums were divided into classified forums, but everyone would just post in the main forum anyway. And, when people did post in the local classified forum, no one would look at it.

Now, making a separate classified section may not be a bad idea. But, that would be something to consider down the line as there is a long list of to-dos we are working on.

Yeah I was just throwing it out there. I mean if I have a technical question or I want to sell something that I'm willing to ship - it doesn't have to be limited to my usual Mid-Atlantic Forum. If I have any gear to sell I'd rather post it on here first, rather than on Craigslist. The one thing with a Help Forum is that people could be looking for surf-related or site-related help. I guess it would have to be subdivided or something.

matt, you can post in the video section, by just clicking on the submit link at the top left.

Or you, can post the youtube video in the forum by putting the "embed code" in these tags:

    "
    HTML:
    embed code goes here
    "

the html tags can also be added by clicking on the <> icon at the top editor tool bar.
