I have 5 boards 4 that I made, one professionally made. I ride my own shapes most of the time altough I went to the Professional board a few months ago just for a change.
I break at least 1 board per year. Lately it's been more. But, I do sell boards after I beat them up a bit...unless I am in love with the board. And, the one's I love are usually the one's that breaks.
2 boards deep as of now. got a fishcuit and a quad fin shorty. looking to pick up a performance thruster soon
I def don't break boards for fun. I just try to be as aggressive as possible. And commit to any opportunity I get.
I hear ya. I think sometimes I can actually be skittish because I know if I break a board, it won't be quickly replaced.
I currently have a longboard, shortboard, fish (travel board) and 8ft pin from Perfection thats 20 yrs old now and just reglassed. Still my favorite board of all time. Not to mention plenty of sponges. Working on building my quiver with kids coming along.
