Yeah I know a guy whos has a IsIS he want to sell me and I was looking at possibly a new Elevator. I want something glassed heavy cause I prefer a board with some weight to it. Plus I want something from a 9'6 to a 10'0 cause my wife was out shoping for a new pair of Uggs and she brought me home a 10'0 board back cause it was only 64 bucks at Kona Sports in Wildwood

I like both of those boards but my vote goes to the Zeph Is Is. It sort of reminds me of the Channin Square. Check out the video. I believe thats Kevin Shaughnessy riding the Square. Its an awesome small wave board (perfect for our midsummer conditions) good to chest high.

    3

    small wave shortboard
    good wave shortboard
    vintage log

i love riding all 3 and most times it's really all i need for most conditions in nj. the only time i think i need another board is when it's flat and i'm not riding any of them. for some reason that's when the brain starts thinking about what to add to the quiver for certain conditions, when in reality i already have great boards for the # of surfable days here.

I like 8oz. volan glass with a deck & tail patch. My rails have extra glass also. Its a little on the heavy side but I like the weight. I had a 9'6" Modern for a while (I'm pretty sure it was a pop out) that I bought used. The glass was very light and so was the board. It dinged if you looked at it not to mention the pressure dents in the deck. It didn't paddle well and was only fair in catching waves on small days.

That Elevator is sick! I know my 9'6 is not volan glassed, but I'm going to guess it is a 6/6 deck and 6 bottom. If you look close at the picture of my board you can see 3/4 the way up a V where there's a deck patch also. http://www.bingsurf.com/surfboards_trimulux

Your Stoked! Is that NR-2 a J Tudor model or that Takayama model someone was selling on here, and what size? I hope I do as well as you with my tax return.

I think its just a NR-2 I will find out more when I go look at them next week.

I am really pick about what boards I buy used . From what I am told both are in Near mint shape.

I was looking for a Cooperfish but those things are like gold and its rare anyone gets off them .

Make me regret selling my 10'0 melo yellow a few years back

2 really nice boards. Good Luck with them. I would much rather buy a clean used board rather than pay the price for one thats never seen the water. If I bring another board home I may get divorced. To me - I'd rather look at a quality hand shaped board rather than a painting. They are kind like works of art. I wish my wife would see it that way.
