Just wondering how far everyone is away from surf? Im never more then a half hour away w/o traffic. Either at home or work I can manage to squeeze in a sesh. As long as I am not workin late. Sounds like a bunch of you all arent as fortunate or maybe you are luckier.
Varies, but it's always a logistical effort. Time expended is each way: 3 hrs drive to The-Place-That-Shall-Not-Be-Named 3-4 hrs drive to VB 6 hrs drive to OBX 8 hrs overall travel to PR 8 hrs overall travel to SAN 10 hrs overall travel to CR I still think that I'm "lucky," as you put it, because I get to surf - - the alternatives could be worse.
No joke! LBC i know the feelin. I am right on the water but its not the ocean. Sandy i was real close. The houses on the south side of my street are still boarded up n deemed inhabitable. The difference of may be 12" in elevation
We rarely get hit by hurricanes here in Cow Hampsha. But I am high enough. If not...insurance suffices, I suppose. Now, a Fukushima type tsunami?? We all be focked.
5 miles to the beach but the marsh is in my backyard. Still feels like hundreds of miles from waves at times.
Two Hours to Belmar dawg...where you live in West Side of West Chester bruh 50 minutes for me to get to my favorite gym from the north east regions of the city of drugs guns and brothers loving brothers..of course that's only after "surfing season" is over
15 minutes to my local but our surf is not very great, all the time. One hour gets me out of the Bahamian shadow, two hours gets me to some trade swell. Even if I didn't surf I could never live very far from the ocean.
