Seriously though, I am pretty stoked and fully agree with the second part of that. Haven't had a great session in a couple months it feels like (1/8/17 was objectively a great day of surf for the state as a whole, but I had a bad session and in hindsight the time/spot I was at was not working the way others were that day), but I am definitely ready to go as soon as it's good again.

 

...I'd say, "not enough," but that's a slippery slope.

I guess I got out a half a dozen times or so??? I know I missed a couple days of rideable waves, but got out as much as I could.

 

If you said 33 days...3Xs. I had a nasty sinus infection...antibiotics etc....during some of the goods. Otherwise, the conditions have been lacking a bit this past month...saw my northern/NE brethren getting great conditions on a couple of recent swells where here the winds did not cooperate. Maybe the next 30 will be more fruitful.

 

Surfed 4 times in 12 days! Just spent 2.5hrs in clean, cold, N.E water and my arms are spent! So tired! Went thin on the rubber and had a blast!

 

is that what they really mean when they say "fleece?" I always feel like I'm wearing a full body condom when I'm in my wetsuite, but I have been called a d!ck on multiple occasions...

I've also tried to start a surf log last couple of years. Never followed through enough. It would mostly be for the purpose of keeping count as I would probably not care to review all the details aboot conditions, etc. But then it just becomes like baseball statistics. What's really more important is when I surfed last and after enough days pass I do begin to Jones for more. Anyway, for the month of January I've surfed somewhere around 8 to 12 times. The better sessions are easier to recall. The less memorable ones kinda blur together and I don't know if they were this month or December or what.

 

Just a few of those. Most sessions were somewhat less than memorable. Not complainin' though. I treasure every moment I spend in the brine.
