how was your fathers day??

Used 220 with an orbital sander and used a light touch. Just enough to smooth things out and give it something for the paint to grab onto. Have some 300 I will use later on the clear coat after each coat. Not sure what I will use on the last clear coat, if anything.

 

we split it up about 50/50, I did my surfing early then we did something together of her choice, then surf again before dark, then something of her choice again. Worked out well.

 

My sons got me some surf T-shirts, board wax, and a few other things. Daughter called from Alabama. After church, youngest son and I visited my folks. They live less than 4 miles away. Helped Dad with his lawn mower and some stuff around the yard. Talked about old times. More stories of my Dad's past come out as he gets older. He'll be 85 this Oct.

 

Yup, I went in the morning every day too. A couple mid-day sessions and she surfed with me about 4 times, which was nice. It was relatively small the entire two weeks I was there. It maxed out at head high one day on the North Shore. Got it about head high but blow to hell on the east side. Rest was waist to chest, every day.
