Huge swell coming!

It was Namibia out there. Surfed for an hour alone during peak of swell today.

 

Oh come oon man. I never got off the last hype train. Looks like I'll have to transfer at Jamaica.

and yeah this one looks like the kind that has an actual wind switch from NE to NW. Not that lingering N wind funkiness.

This morning was sweet.... and a delayed opening!

 

Some were. That was when we first pulled up and like Barry said, it had a little too much wind on it. We surfed another peak that was definitely barrelling and had a much better shape.

 

Thanks Barry! Honestly it was a day where I was happy to have a couple more people in the lineup. Lot of current, closeouts, etc. Chose to paddle around from the back and was glad we did.

A duck dive at Reef Road Tuesday. ^



Inlet cam on Monday, from top of Pumphouse. 8 foot backs at Reef Road, one guy way outside all alone,no ski. Zoom in and you can see him.

DP, did you get out at all during this swell? I don't know FL at all. Saw some pictures/videos that looked absolutely gigantic and some that looked smaller (yet still big) and very doable. Don't know your location in respect to the different footage iv seen. Just curious. I know you were saying your forecast was looking huge.

 

I got out yesterday just before dark for a quickie. Didn’t go out when it peaked. Took pics and posted them. It’s all documented in the other thread lol

 

Looks like FL got he best of this swell. Too much wind on it up here. Today was fun though.

 

Love seeing all the photos from you all. I have to say that was top 3 swell I have experienced in Florida. Only other time I've had waves like that was in Hawaii.
