Depends on the friend. Usually just a fist bump. Close friends get the palm / hand shake with half a bro hug / one arm back pat

that sound like some frat-guy-repressed-homo-feelings nonsense. I do give my good homies a handshake half-hug though.

Yea, I understand the family thing, but someone you barely know or haven't seen in years and not close to?
Sorry, just don't understand the "bro hug"

Hugs?? Too "touchy-feely" for me. No stinking hugs.
Touch me, I kill you. Then I steal your money and your women......

In the corporate world, a handshake is a binding contract.
So are hugs now considered a deal sealer?

Next question: How long is too long for hugging a girl with big boobies?

I would assume we are not talking family here. BB girls get hugs for as long as you can get away with it.
But here's the thing, when I grew up I was taught that to shake hands was a sign of respect and you never offered to shake a ladies hand unless she offered hers first. It was just that way.
Now everywhere you go, everyone you meet wants to hug. It's awkward!
