I would assume we are not talking family here. BB girls get hugs for as long as you can get away with it. But here's the thing, when I grew up I was taught that to shake hands was a sign of respect and you never offered to shake a ladies hand unless she offered hers first. It was just that way. Now everywhere you go, everyone you meet wants to hug. It's awkward!
