Still no update on my family's place in the Keys. US 1 is shut off at Islamorada and we're down in Marathon, so it could be a while before we know the damage. Initial reports from people who stayed are mixed, but the video people have sent so far has been horrifying. So many places just...aren't there anymore.

Key West actually fared pretty well, Duval Street didn't suffer much structural damage from what I've seen and I think a few bars are (unsurprisingly) already open. Within 1 months the freaks will be back in Mallory Square, guaranteed.

As for Big Pine and up, it's going to be a long, slow road to recovery. That's the price you pay when you live in paradise I guess
