Micah, Has the the hurricane feature in the swell forecasts been turned on? If not, you going to do that this year? Thanks!
Is this what you are looking for: http://www.swellinfo.com/tropical/index.html?file=hurricane-wave-model
Hey Tommy, Yes, we will likely switch over to hurricane mode soon. This means that the forecast data will be based of the hurricane model rather than the regular wave model run. The hurricane model uses GFDL hurricane model winds as input, which is more accurate over the tropical storm/hurricane area.
Thanks. I will keep an eye out for them. I need to be very picky now that I live inland. Hopefully I will get at least one swell this season. I have been obsesively checking the charts. Is there a way to have a link to the hurricane charts? So both can be accessed.
the hurricane wave maps are on the hurricane page: http://www.swellinfo.com/tropical/ Click on the Hurricane Model link on the right side.
