    hawaii had a good summer, E swell galore and plenty of souths

    and early season NW's to be sure

    but on E coast, all of the best swells have been norse box munchers

    You can thank this El Nino season for that.

    With that being said - Nor'Easters for me. Quality hurricane swells have been very inconsistent over the last 5+ years. Yes, warm waters and longer periods are a bonus, but it's frustrating waiting around for them. There can be times where we get nor'easters back to back weekly for a period of time - granted colder water - but during times when the sandbars have been naturally corrected and the crowds are virtually non-existent.

    One of my favorite swells was from TS Danielle a few years ago-- OH+ at DP. Speaking of which, this summer has been a complete waste...I hope next week is not victory at sea...
