Been an Xcel fan for a long time and all of my suits are Xcels...but got a ridiculous deal on the Amp-3 below. To be honest, I swore off purchasing any Hyperflex when they first offered the amp series due to the regular quality issues I was having with Hyperflex Amps first generation 5/4/3 (tearing in shoulder seam near sealed/smooth neoprene, taping pealing off, etc.). Love the return policy, but it was always a hassle when I thought it would hold up longer. Bottom line, I know you get what you pay for with suits...but how are these new Amp suits holding up comparably?
Never worn a hyperflex. I have a ripcurl flashbomb and love it. I have also had an excel infinity and loved it. I always considered hyperflex like the first generation Kia's. better with time but terrible at first.
