It's been pretty much flat here too, but not a total wash out if the timing is right. I went out Monday and today, early morning and late afternoon, thinking I would just get some paddling in. Instead found enough knee-thigh high action to push a long board. It was enjoyable in an easy going kind of way. Warm weather and warm water. Certainly more fun than an hour of prone paddling. Then the morning surf camps hit the water. With all those muti-colored soft tops, it reminded me of the raid on Lower Trestles. Actually enjoyed watching the kids catching waves ("Paddle, paddle, paddle, paddle!"). But couldn't say long, had to get to work.

FUGAZI- Does anyone think the weekend forecasts are inflated a bit to keep weekend warriors curious until Thursday or Friday before showing actually it wil be shizer? is that some game SI and MSW play?

Nah! Look at the forecast for Jupiter, FL. It's like the patient died on the operating table and flat-lined. Defibrillator! STAT!

between swell, msw, surfline, surf-forecast, and noaa (yes I cross-reference all of them and webcams when in doubt, and i've always been a bit of a weather junky) i've only ever been pleasantly surprised with slightly bigger, stronger, or cleaner conditions than predicted...with all that said, it is a bummer when a forecast holds up only to drop 2-3' in the final six hour forecast before you were to head out...yes, that happens
