Durango which is in the Southwest I think. Visiting the lady friends father for the week. Don't worry he's the man its all good. Everyone out here is healthy it's weird.

Made the trip from Ohio and back years ago. Summer vacation cross country drive with the family in 1966. Stopped en route and visited relatives in Nebraska. Blue skies, majestic mountains, lots of pine trees, cold streams, big thunder clouds filled with lightning, great tasting trout, a geologist's paradise. Saw Denver, Central City, Estes Park, Grand Lake, and drove up Mt Evans. Recommend reading James Michener's book "Centennial" sometime.
There is a town in Colorado that has a river wave. I think Pueblo. its right downtown. I remember seeing a story on this place. Also some places on the Colorado. Great place to be. I grew up there. Family from Santa Fe. Mntns are great.
