Not with a women, that's just not gonna happen, but a board yes. But before that let me give the back story as to why.... I've been riding a 6"0 wrv rockfish in all conditions (love the board to death but obviously not ideal for the small stuff) and I have been looking to get into a new board for the mushy days. I was told by many on this forum and others that the mini Simmons was the way to go. Weeellllll that boards in the $800 range, and for WHAT??? It's small out, no matter how good the board is, the WAVES YOU ARE SURFING ARE SMALL. So why go balls deep on a nautical lambo? I didn't... Instead I rode on down to my favorite shop and picked me up a Stump from catch surf. All i can say is this board is legit! I bought the 5"0 thruster and was catching any and every wave I wanted in typical 2-3" mush all day. Not only did this baby catch waves, but like damn, it shreds! Such a super fun board, great responsiveness for a board that thick, highly recommend it. Don't care if it's flashy, don't care if it's kooky foam, don't care if it's cheap. The board rocks and is a practical approach to a typical east coast day. And for the record I'm not hating on you ballers with the cash to own the mini sims and others like it, but objectively speaking, I think the $500ish gap in price is reason enough to stick with the stump.
so, all new glassed hp shortboards are now to be referred to as a "nautical lambo"? I suppose the next step might be calling a glassed longboard a "nautical limo". Between these, "wetsuite" and "stocked", we're writing our own language (what should we name that?)
