this is amazing, I will doante 20 bux for gas. make it happen. are you big and angry looking? do people approach you with cation? that would be icing on the cake
I would have lost it too but there would have been more F*&* Yous thrown around, haha. Since we're on the topic of idiots, why do people feel the need to sit 5 yards away from you when surfing beachbreak with 300 yards of space? I mean, its really disrespectful to do that. You do that when you are on a jetty or some kind of point.
not sure if you are trolling here but you do that to me and its going to be on. I don't care if you are 250 we are going to trade shots
the sad part is.... this could totally happen and there would be nothing you could do allow me to present the following points: 1. shoot your board at him...... boom lawsuit 2. fight him... boom lawsuit 3.talk crap..... boom you look like an angry azz the cap'n controls the flow of info with the go pro
yea that's true, but wintertime not a soul in sight.i think it could be a funny web series we can do episodes like "the pros are in town at lowers" lol guess where we are going.it would be cool to take a wave in and have slater giving me the finger in the background.next month we will be in france for the pre contest.i wouldn't be trying to start fights, its more like a lowers raid mission to every crowded spot lol
Your a yuppie kook from Kanada no one cares about what you dig. Go back to surfing Lake Ontario you waste of space. Lol your going to get so hurt in Bali but I don't wish that on you. If it's 6 foot you won't be able to make the paddle out you will also get burned and called off of waves becuz you can't shred.
Hey dune little brah! I hear your pain... I don't know why ppl do the things they do... And then blame it on you... But I will tell you this- that wouldn't happen in Belmar! Don't you love how when you paddle far far away from the crowd, then they see you get a few waves... They paddle right on top of you? Many ppl disagree on this point- which is probably the reason this guy went. But I would say don't go- it's just not worth it. I missed many a wave due to ppl floundering on the inside take off zone. But why would you go on a close out with a guy on the inside? Idk. Why would you go on a close out period? Idk. Least your board didn't get dinged or you didn't get skegged. I say don't go out of consideration- cause we have all been there. And if you can't handle that fact since you think your entitled to dropping into a close out- maybe you gotta check yourself and ask your self why you surf... Is it for entitlement or for the joy or riding a wave. Little dune brah- next time that happens- just ask yourself 'would the shred go'? You'll have your answer there Keep practicing those complete KFC turns brah. Good to have you back
on the other side of this,we were surfing in kitty hawk ,me and this teenager(a friends son who is learning,as well as i) we always look where we are,we also were the only 2 out there.I went in to drink a few and he stayed out.four guys who where at least in there 20's paddled in and told him this was their ocean and that he did not belong there.the boy lives right over the dunes! and has for years...he came in mad as hell.and he took the high road, went down to the break the clowns were at,about that time a young lady friend spotted him and paddled out to talk.i watched closely from shore as he just stood his ground, they drifted down to the four...and they left him alone.
This sort of stuff has to stop happening to locals... I'm very nice to visitors and always have good vibes towards them. I will even trade boards with people if they aren't catching waves and let them use my longboard while I use there short board mostly beginners that got the hold of a short board and don't know what they are doing. But if someone came to the spot I've been surfing my hole life and said that I would honestly **** them up. And I'm not a internet tuff guy I really would. How do these instant locals think they can do that? That might be one of the reasons localism exists is because these new comes with attitudes come and try to take over breaks. Think about that y'all, someone comes to your break you have been surfing your whole life then lays claim to it and disrespects you and your whole line up. I m sorry but there is no room in the south for this kind of rudeness.
I guess im not surprised that it happens. The same people who cut you off on the road are the ones who will try to burn you in the water or tell you to get out, or something stupid like that. So few of these people are legit though when it comes down to fighting. They seek out the people that are physically smaller than them and act like bullies. It happens everywhere not just in the water. You challenge them to fight and they will back off, its almost guaranteed. I don't ever judge a book by its cover either. Some little guys can scrap, the little wrestlers especially. But you have to stand up for yourself 100% of the time. You'll feel better that you did.
a few years back, some dude went for an end of wave close-out bash (even though he looked straight at me just before) and rode out of it right over me as I was duck-diving. Asshole's fin ripped my 4 mm wetsuit and gave my leg a fat knot and bruise. About a year later, I did a similar thing to some other guy. I was in cabo surfing a hurricane swell in the most perfect reeling head-high waves I've ever seen. A dude was paddling out and I went for the end of wave close-out bash, anyway. I don't think he got hit, but I was surprised he didn't say anything...especially considering I could see the horror in his eyes when he realized I was going for the maneuver. The guy that did it to me was a very good veteran surfer. I'm a pretty good veteran surfer. The conditions were uncrowded in both situations. I don't know goes through our heads to make us do this sh!t, but it happens to all of us, eventually.
