It is somewhat satisfying to know that there is finally a good amount of BS and smack talking on this forum. Finally, this forum is catching up to all the BS that goes on in the other surf forums. Its a sign of maturity and good for traffic... Now, if we can only get the other regional forums going.
for a bunch of fun loving "surf brahs" you folks get heated about things rather quickly. it's also funny to think that i've been threatened by a bunch of guys on the internet.
you are correct in the up-tick in traffic, it is ez to notice that. <<<To your site>>> At the same time, some of the other local sites have seen a decline in thread starts and picture posts. i know i have backed off some from posting Pictures on SurfingOC.COM, but that is more of a time issue, to some extent. Plus, there always seemed to be a percentage of people that seemed to be turned off by any type of Poop talking in any form. After a while, it just seemed as if to many people took things to serious, so you felt like you have to be "PC" with every topic start. Of course some topics should never be allowed, in my opinion,>>>>>I know ECBB had issues with that for a while, but even that has seen a slide in posts about,>> Crap talking, which is cool, since they are the default BodyBoarding site local to us. It is nice to be able to check out a site since it is just for us BB's. Delsurf.com has always seemed to be a relaxed site. Early on you would have thought it was Kook heaven, but really, the core group over there are/seem to be way cool and maybe just a little older/wiser?<<ok, maybe, maybe not, who knows. But many have been around for a long time, just no reason to start crap over there, because you will not have many takers. Just as long as people are mature enough to not take it to extremes, meaning "I will see you on the beach type of people", I have always thought that forums can to some extent be a healthy way to vent,...... One thing is for sure, SwellInfo.com has quickly become the main site everyone turns to, First. The intergration of all the data, as well as the overall scope/outreach to all the different surf areas both along the entire east coast and those afar, has set the standard.
A good rule of thumb is that if you ignore aholes on the board and don't respond to their irrelevant ranting they will stop posting.
not real sure what that is suppose to mean...but i'm a local around that area as well. near belmar. I don't consider myself an ahole.
