Nice gun in that last pic. Epic. Left my 8 foot gun in CA. Had it for 8 years and used it about 5 times. Figured I would never need it again. I was wondering what the hell he was doing with a gun like that, but I saw the name of the pic was mavs5.jpg... Got it now.

Yeah man, dude was pretty cool, he was warning the women and children to watch out on the incoming tide as he was about to paddle out. They told him "try not to kill yourself out there (geniuses)

Here's one more, bit closer up

There are only a few waves I have ever seen in the world that I have said, nope, I would never surf there. That my friend, is at the top of the list. I mean, not even on a small day. Something about that wave/area gives me the heebie jeebies.

Without a doubt, unfortunately the break is so far out that unless you got a really good zoom on your camera it won't give it any justice. I have a few pics I took of it but I won't even bother posting them because it doesn't give you any idea of the size. When we were leaving the group of guys that paddled out started making their drop and riding those mountains of water. With the human eye you can get a decent idea of the size in person, which looked gigantic on a "small day", can't imagine on a 30+ day.

Funny thing about it, is Surfline was reporting that it was flat that day, I even went back and checked the camera rewind thing that they have now and it didn't capture the footage I saw in person at all. Makes me wonder if it was actually live and recording that day. Maybe they do that to keep the crowd down IDK, but there was no evidence of what I saw. I would have to guess the size was 12-15, maybe upward of 18+. But I wasn't out there in the lineup to confirm, just guessing based on how small they looked on the wave.

I wouldn't doubt it. Jeff Clark probably made a deal with them. It's "always" flat.

HAHA, can't blame em, don't want every Tom, D*ck & Harry showing up trying their hand at it, too many people would die if that happened, it's total sketch out there
